They Tied The Knot Just After Twenty-five Days of Connecting

Sometimes the people we’ve known for only a short amount of time end up owning most of our hearts. As they say, time doesn’t count, experience does. In the case of Karan Pillai and Sukanchi Kushwa, only twenty-five days were enough for them to be sure of each other.

In the Hindu religion, people with Manglik dosha can only marry a Manglik person. Karan was looking for a partner who was manglik and compatible with him. Soon, he met Sukanchi and everything smoothly fell in place. We are happy that this adorable couple tied the knot on 16 June 2021 after meeting on Betterhalf. The couple connected on 7 May 2021 and within the span of twenty-five days, they decided to get married.

We recently had a breezy chat with the couple, what melted our hearts was their heartful laughs and Karan calling Sukanchi “my wife.” We call them the “lockdown couple” as they met and got married during the nationwide lockdown. We are going to share how a doctor, Karan, and an engineer, Sukanchi found each other on Betterhalf and decided to spend the rest of their lives together. In this article, we are going to spill the cute beans of their journey, their first meeting, their favorite things about each other, and their marriage.

The first and most important step is the first message. It is in the initial messages only where one can sense the air around. First conversations are always special, while talking about their first conversation, Karan shared:

“The first message I sent to her was, “Are you Manglik?” and she said yes.” Karan was also worried about the fake profiles so he wanted to be very sure of each other. Soon after connecting and having chats on the app, they both decided to exchange their numbers. As told by Karan, both of them were looking for something serious. They didn’t want anyone looking for something casual but someone ready to take the vows. As Sukanchi belonged to Gwalior and Karan was posted in a hospital of Gwalior on COVID duties, they both decided to meet.

The best thing about their story is that along with the vibes, their cities also matched. “My wife came to meet me for the first time at the hospital….

First meetings can be awkward but their first meeting was fun and cute. Karan told us, “My wife came to meet me for the first time at the hospital where I was on COVID duty. While there she was looking all beautiful, I appeared in a PPE kit. We went to a restaurant which was near the hospital. We ordered coffee and talked about everything. Marriage is a big decision, we both were aware of it. Over cups of coffee, we told each other about our lives, what we do, our likes and dislikes, and other things that life partners should know about each other. We had a lot to talk about, so we decided to visit another cafe. I still remember Sukanchi loved the chilli paneer we had there. I guess on the first date only we realized that we are meant to be together.” Their families met and with their blessings their wedding date was fixed. Well! Our couple’s love story is known to everyone in the hospital where Karan was on duty. If this isn’t love then what else is.

As the couple is married, we were curious to know about their wedding. With the blessings of their loved ones, the couple got married in the presence of limited guests because of COVID.

On 16 June 2021, the engineer and doctor tied the knot and took vows of being together. “We had an intimate wedding at Arya Samaj Mandir as it was the only option in lockdown. And boom! We became husband and wife. Sooner that night, we even threw a reception party. It was a great feeling to finally have her as my wife. Our families were happy so were we.” Karan even shared that their compatibility score of 4.5 on Betterhalf app also boosted their confidence to get married.

Her smile melts his heart

Throughout the conversation, we heard Sukanchi’s infectious laugh. And when asked about what Karan loves about his wife, he said, “Sukanchi has a cute smile, just like kids. The smile that kids have when they do something cute, that’s how she smiles. It melts my heart.”

Just as our chat was about to end, we asked about Karan’s experience on Betterhalf

“What to say? I am happy, very happy. I met my wife, my soulmate on Betterhalf. I guess that says it all.”, Karan said.
