Shankar is a fashion designer based in Mumbai and Anumita works as an assistant director in an influential firm. Anumita said she was casually scrolling through her Insta feed when noticed an advertisement of Betterhalf. Anumita quickly installed the application and started getting connection requests soon. Little did she know that this small step was going to change her life forever. 

While Anumita was randomly having conversations with 2-3 men, Shankar was just one of them. Now, we were eager to know How Anumita decided to end her life partner search and what was the defining moment for her when she knew that ‘this is my Betterhalf’

As they interacted more on the platform, they found themselves drawn to each other's personalities and interests. The defining moment came when they decided to meet in person. From their very first meeting, there was an undeniable chemistry and both couldn’t stop going on frequent dates with each other. This was the first time they were experiencing such immense feelings and they both knew that this could become a companionship for life. 

Within a week of meeting, Shankar realised his love for Anumita and knew that she was the one he had been searching for. Without losing any other second he bravely proposed marriage, and to his delight, Anumita joyfully accepted. They knew they had found their Betterhalf in each other. With their hearts set on a future together, they shared the news with their families, who were equally delighted. Both families met and, with their blessings, everything was fixed for the couple's wedding on 21st November 2021.

Our next question was Are there any defining moments in your entire journey of finding your life partner on Betterhalf?

Throughout her experience at Betterhalf, Anumita had conversations with several potential partners, but none compelled her to take the next step after chatting until she connected with Mr. Sharma. She herself accepted ‘I talk to many boys on Betterhalf  but never feel to meet them personally but he is one who I met because I don't know, the spark in him to force me to meet him.’ 

She felt that there was an undeniable spark that drew her towards him, and it became clear that he was the one she had been waiting for.

Our next question was what we’ve all been waiting for ‘ How did you guys make the decision of marriage and what does marriage mean to you?

Anumita had the most beautiful answer to our question which was so naturally acceptable for us as well. She said "thahrav, kind of jaise ek nadi badi door se bah ke aati hai lekin sagar mein asker mil ke hi use tharav milta hai shaadi is just like that hum jab tak shaadi nahi hoti apni marji se befikri se jeete hai lekin shaadi ke baad life stable ho jaati hai responsible ho jaate hai.  So, marriage is a beautiful part of life.”

For both of them, marriage signifies a beautiful journey of stability and responsibility, much like a river flowing relentlessly until it meets the vast ocean, where it finds tranquility. They believe that marriage brings a sense of purpose and completeness to life.
